Major Renovations re-starting January 2023

 Received an email from Kaylene on 5th January - while we were still in NSW (I think)

Anyway, she said that they would like to commence demolishment of the kitchen/bathroom on 17th January - which was very exciting for us

However, there was still stuff in the Kitchen and bathroom (mostly in boxes, but still - I wasn't able to be there to pack it up)

That said - Alex and Jane were there for the weekend - so I asked if they could pack up these rooms - and they kindly said yes

Alex even went so far as to put plastic sheeting over the scullery shelves and to tape up the door from our bedroom to the bathroom - to try and minimize dust

And then it began - on Monday 16th actually.  Cam sent me photos of their progress - was surprised at how quickly they went

Here's the Bathroom (soon to be our en-suite) - big stupid cupboard, bath, toilet, pedestal hand basin all gone, and eventually the door and the ceiling  

They had to dig out some of the dirt - to a depth of 40cm I think

And now for the kitchen

Other stupid cupboards and stupid sink ripped out, ceiling gone

We're also impressed but the level of care Cam and his crew are taking - ie putting down a cardboard "carpet" to protect the floor

And also checking with us re if we wanted to keep anything etc
