Kingower Music Night quick visit Saturday 29 March - Sunday 30 March 2025

What a nuisance, I was just re-reading this - had 1/2 written it, and then went to delete something, and everything deleted

Couldn't retrieve any of it....

So have to start again - grrr

Anyway, during the week, my CWA friend Connie who has a house in Bridgewater sent me a WhatsApp message saying that Justin was in the Loddon Herald re the Festival of Small halls last week

So I asked her to send me a photo - it was great - and there were also photos of Madeleine with Courtney, Jo & Nick, and Bruce

Anyway, back to Saturday 29th.  A very busy day, I was at CWA Umina from 9am - 4pm for Group President training

Then up to Inglewood, stopped in at the house, and then almost immediately up to Kingower with Carolyn, Tim and Justin (Chris was already there)

Our usual front table was somehow still available for us - even though we were on the late side

Had some delicious scotch eggs made with quail eggs.  we all scoffed them down.

Then minestrone soup, lasagne with green salad, and tira misu for dessert - an Italian theme, and all delicious

As for the music, first up was the Superband David, Mark, Justin, Chris and the guy on the Tea chest/harmonica.  Hate to say it, but they were a little bit "messy". The acts were better as singles

And after this, the singles came on - Dermot with his folk songs, booming voice, and no ukulele this time. Then David, Mark, and finally Justin & Chris together - and the other Chris came on with them also for a bit

We left after this - as Carolyn & Tim had to get back to Castlemaine that night (Tim was off to America on Monday) - and Carolyn was the designated driver

So, back to the house, no kangaroos, and Justin & Chris played a bit more in the kitchen

A reasonably early start in the morning - Chris left 9ish, as did Justin.  Justin drove to Tullamarine as he was going to a conference in Hobart for 6 days

I tidied up a bit, and left for Kyneton around 10.30 or so- to Yasmin's house for her annual Regional lunch

Was very pleasant - a few other Umina gals there, plus some of her Kyneton friends

Got home to Melbourne late afternoon, and just relaxed
